Field Hockey Wins Fall Green Team Certification Raffle

The winner of the fall 2018 Green Team Certification raffle is the field hockey team! The girls use reusable water bottles and shakers, recycle, and carpool to practice as well as games. The team makes sure to turn off the lights at the end of every practice and reduces vampire energy usage by unplugging devices that are fully charged. Lastly, they stay informed on ways to prioritize sustainability.

Recycling Bins in PWG

Thanks to feedback from sustainability captains and help from the Office of Sustainability and Yale Facilities, the Bulldog Sustainability team was able to secure recycling bins in all of the varsity locker rooms at Payne Whitney Gym! This is a great step towards creating a more sustainable environment in Yale Athletics.

Men's Tennis Becomes Bronze Certified

The men’s tennis team is the first team to become Bronze Certified! The Green Team Certification program added a tier system this year to incentivize teams to earn points beyond just the Green Certified level. In order to reach the Bronze Certification level, the team prioritized carpooling to practice, watering plants with ice used for injuries, and taking shorter showers.
